The Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease 
Association is a non-profit, which seeks to improve the quality of life of those living with Parkinson’s Disease and associated neurological disease, as well as their care givers, in Hampton Roads, Virginia, through public awareness, advocacy, education, and supporting research until a cure is found.
Last year Virginia Beach honored us by declaring a Parkinson’s Disease Day. This year the Beach has declared April 13, 2013 as Parkinson’s Disease Day.

We’re happy to announce the Pay Pal addition to our donation options.
Just follow the directions and enter Pay Pal as a “GUEST” so you can use your credit card (VISA/MC), and take care of your donation simply.
If you request, a letter will be sent on your behalf to the party in whose memory you are donating. Just provide the name and address. We will disclose the amount if desired. Otherwise, the amount remains anonymous. Also, if your receipt is not enough for tax records, let us know. We will happily forward a letter reflecting your charitable donation, as we are an allowable 501© tax deduction.

Our local chapter has two ways you can help –
Become a Board Member of our local chapter of the APDA. If you’ve had board experience, board officer experience, have computer proficiency, have energy or are just willing to be a part of a group, striving to support the Hampton Roads Parkinson community, then call us at 757-495-3062.
- Be a volunteer for the Annual Walk for Research. Here’s where you can do anything from chairing a committee to being a volunteer just for the 3 hour Walk. Our walk is in April, but we work on it year round. If you have access to tables, chairs, tents, speaker systems or entertainment, call us too at 495-3062.
